This new generation product enables retailers to sell car wash programmes and print access codes directly from any till or point of sale (POS) system on site.
This, the 300th Codax Code Generator is part of a batch delivered to Shell Stations in the UK. At each Shell UK Station a Codax Code Generator is connected to the in-store Ethernet network. The unit takes advantage of the pre-integration software provided by PSD to the POS vendor, in this case Wincor-Nixdorf, so that once it is connected to the network, all the POS systems on-site can sell car wash, jet wash and other valet services.
With the Codax Code Generator working together with a forecourt operator’s POS, carwash codes can only be issued when the transaction is completed, reducing the possibility of mis-entry and preventing unauthorised and free car washes being issued. This POS integration also means that accurate sales data is generated and provided to head office, allowing price checking and sales analysis for all car wash and valet services.
