Codax will be demonstrating its new generation of payment solutions during the Association for Petroleum and Explosives Administration (APEA) annual exhibition in Coventry, UK this November.

Motorists now have the option of buying a barcode ticket from the forecourt shop which they can scan at one of the new Codax wash bay terminals to activate their chosen programme. Or they can drive directly to the wash bay and pay for services using a bank card which means they don’t have to queue in the shop.

And customers who use car washes and other valet services regularly can access services using the Codax smartcard system and benefit from attractive loyalty discounts.

Graham Round, managing director of PSD Codax, said: “We are continually developing new ways for customers to pay for and access car wash services and help forecourt retailers boost revenues. Barcode tickets are simple and hassle-free way for customers to start their chosen wash programme.

“Codax technology enables retailers to hold on to time-pressed motorists who are may be unwilling to queue in the shop and who will recognise that an empty wash is ready to use with their bankcard. And with Smartcard technology retailers can reward their most loyal customers to ensure repeat business.”

The APEA’s annual exhibition, conference & awards dinner is being held on November 7 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. PSD Codax will be exhibiting on stand A19.
